Colours

· The colours are mostly, blue, grey, black and white.

· There is a moving image for the background with bright colours.

· The box “videos” is a black box which has the opacity lowered so you can still see the image behind it.

Layout

· The page is lad out with the directory in the top left hand corner which has a drop down list and all of the features of the website on it.

· The title is along the top of the screen along with show times and tickets.

· In the top right hand corner are social network buttons.

· There are video thumbnails across most of the screen, this seems like their main priority to promote these.

Images

· The main image is in the background of large flying ships/ life forms, this grabs the attention of the viewer but not so much that it distracts them from the text.

· The other images are thumbnails for the videos.

Text

· The text is all the same font and in white, except the drop down list and the title as they are differently coloured.

· The text under the panel “film info” is ratings and it changes to show different reviews of the film.

Colours

· The background is black, and the text is gold to contrast from the black.

· The boxes are gradient which is a good effect to use to make them stand out.

Layout

· The layout is a landscape with three columns of images, which link to different aspects.

· The large image on the left is of posters, the panel cycles through all of the posters.

Images

· The images are of different aspects of the film, including cast & crew, posters, features, gallery and videos.

· The images are used as links.

Text

· The text isn’t very large for the title.

· The headings for each section are larger than the title.

· The text body is the same font and all caps apart from the subheadings

The colours in this poster are bold blues to make it look like it’s at night; this gives setting to the film. The mise en scene shows how the group are strong together as it uses a low angle shot, also the outfits they’re wearing shows that they’re just normal people.

The image shows a group of people standing in front of a block of flats with the London skyline behind them, there are pods falling from the sky showing it is an action film giving it genre and attracting a certain audience to the film.

The font is bold and appealing to the eye, it is large and in block capitals taking up 1/3 of the page. The font is consistent through the entire poster.

The colours used in the text is mostly white to contrast with the background but the tag line is red which is a common with the action genre.

The purpose of this poster is to show what the film is about, the release date, who has made it, and who is acting in it, this is what people look for when they look at a film poster and this includes it all these conventions.

The colours are mostly orange, red and black; this is commonly used in action movies as fire and explosions are used lots, there are also flames down the left side of this poster emphasizing the fact it is an action film.

The main image is a large battle but an interesting effect where it curves around the center where the text is. The expression on the characters face in the front that is most likely the main character is a look of struggle and fighting to the finish, showing that that is what the film is about.

The background is a battle, taking place and an orange sky filled with fire and smoke, this is to make the audience feel like the movie is action packed and filled with amazing battle scenes which are huge in scale.

The text colour is black so it contrasts with the orange background in the middle, and the text at the top and the bottom is white to contrast with the black background, the film title has a chisel effect on it to make the text look 3D.

The text font is easy to read although it isn’t bold, it has a roman feel to make the film look like it is set in the past and it is used for all of the text.

The tag line is “heaven and earth will collide” this gives hint into the narrative and also is a big statement which will build anticipation for the film.

The layout of the poster is a circle center focus where the title of the film is and then the image surrounds that. The text is in three places, the top, middle and bottom, these are three main focus points, and it also makes it look neat and tidy.

The target audience looks like it would be an 18+ because of the violence, mostly male who enjoy action packed adventure movies, or people who like some of the actors in the move.
